Depart from the Sharinkan Hamasen Branch and head toward Aso Kumamoto Airport. Once you reach the area around the airport, your cycling journey to Aso truly begins. Passing through the airport area, head first toward Nishihara Village. As you ride up the gentle incline, the majestic scenery of Aso gradually unfolds before you. Along the way, enjoy the peaceful rural landscapes and pastures while feeling the refreshing breeze.

We recommend Shikisoku Soba, a tasty hideaway spot for tiled soba noodles located in Nishihara Village in Aso!　The famous kawara soba was born from an anecdote about the Satsuma troops surrounding Kumamoto Castle during the Civil War in 1877, who roasted vegetables and meat on kawara (tiles) and ate them. Originating in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, here you can enjoy authentic kawara soba arranged in Kumamoto style. The crispy texture and savory flavor of chasoba, which is cooked on a hot tile, is irresistible.

We will also explain the Terms of Use to you and ask you to agree to them.

Our staff will provide orientation on basic bicycle operation, safety precautions, and how to return the bicycles for smooth use.

Rental starts

After signing the necessary documents, you will receive your bicycle and begin your rental.

Extensions are not available if you have a rental scheduled for the following day.
If you are not able to return the room within the time frame, we may pick it up for a fee.

: The service is available only on bike paths and public roads. Please do not enter restricted areas or unpaved mountain trails. Please note that many mountain trails have restricted or prohibited access for bicycles. When riding through Aso Kumamoto Airport, please ride with extra caution as many pedestrians and vehicles will be passing by. Also, please follow the one-way directions within the airport.
: Your safety is our top priority, and we have several important rules in place. First, we require all passengers to wear helmets. When traveling on the roadway, please always keep to the left, give priority to pedestrians on sidewalks, and ride slowly. Use of the site under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. For first-time users, basic operating instructions will be provided prior to departure to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
: Please be properly prepared for a pleasant cycling experience. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. Hydration is very important, so please be sure to bring a drink. Weather conditions can change suddenly, so we also recommend that you bring light warm clothing and rain gear. If you have large luggage, we will be happy to check it for you free of charge, as long as it has a lock function.
: Reservations can be cancelled up to 3 days prior to the start of use. For cancellations made after that time, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total reservation amount will be charged. If you wish to change your reservation, please be sure to contact the store for details, as the handling of such requests varies depending on availability. Please note that additional charges may be incurred for changes.
: We are flexible on cancellations due to special circumstances. If you are unable to use our services due to flight delays, we will provide a full refund upon presentation of proof of flight cancellation or delay. In the event of inclement weather, we may waive the cancellation fee if we carefully assess the conditions on the day of the flight and determine that safety would be seriously compromised.
: Bicycles must be returned during business hours on the same day (by 18:00). No additional charges will be incurred if bicycles are returned during business hours. If you are late to return the bicycle due to unavoidable circumstances, please contact the rental store as soon as possible. In the unlikely event that the bicycle cannot be driven on its own due to accident or damage, a non-operation charge (NOC) of 20,000 yen per day multiplied by the number of repair days will be assessed. Upon return, our staff will carefully check helmets and other equipment, as well as any damage or malfunction.

Terms of Use and Procedures

: Basic bicycle driving skills are required. If you are a first-time rider, we will explain the operation of the bike before departure. We will also give you appropriate advice on the route to be taken, depending on your experience.
: The bicycles can be used independently by persons 16 years of age or older; persons under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Bicycles are also available for those who are at least 145 cm tall and weigh 120 kg or less.
: Two types of plans are available: Regular Plan and Premium Plan. The Regular Plan (from 8,000 yen/day) offers standard bicycles, while the Premium Plan (31,900 yen/day) offers high-performance bicycles. Please feel free to ask our staff for more details about each bicycle.
: Although it varies depending on the course and physical fitness, the general guideline is 15-20 km for a half day and 30-40 km for a full day. Our staff will provide detailed information on distances to major sightseeing spots around Aso Kumamoto Airport and the time required to get there.
: This usually takes about 15-20 minutes. We will go over the required documents, payment of fees, bicycle adjustments, and safety instructions in detail. Advance reservations are recommended to ensure a smooth process.

About Reservations

: Reservations are accepted on a daily basis. If you wish to use the system for consecutive days, you will need to add each date to your cart separately. For example, if you wish to use the room for 3 consecutive days, please add each of the 3 days to your cart separately.
: Yes, it is possible. The reservation system is per car, so please add the number of cars you need to your cart separately. For example, if you have 4 guests, please add 4 cars to the cart for the same date to complete the reservation. However, please check in advance whether we have the required number of cars in stock for your desired dates. We recommend early reservations during busy periods.

What to bring and payment

: Only luggage with a lock will be checked in free of charge. We recommend that you keep yourself light while cycling. We also provide bicycles with attachable bags for storing your jacket and other necessary luggage.
: Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) are accepted for payment. All fees must be paid in full in advance at the time of reservation.

Weather and emergency response

: In the event of inclement weather, the cancellation fee will be waived if, after considering the conditions on the day of the event, it is determined that safety will be seriously compromised. Please contact the store for weather conditions on the day of the event.
: In the event of a malfunction or accident, please contact us immediately. If repairs are necessary, you will be charged up to the price of the bicycle itself. Please note that the user is responsible for any damage to third parties.

Points to note during use

: Bicycle parking is available at the sights, but please be sure to lock your bicycle. Please be sure to take your valuables with you. Parking bicycles for long periods of time increases the risk of theft.
: Extensions are possible depending on availability, but as a rule, priority will be given to the next reservation. If you wish to extend your reservation, please contact the store as soon as possible. Additional charges will apply.
: We ask that you return the equipment during business hours (by 6:00 p.m.). If you will be late due to unavoidable circumstances, please be sure to contact the store. For returns outside of business hours, we will consult with you separately.
